Riding animals have yet to be implemented, but pack animals are available. A few weeks after the game's release, and still not everything listed in the manual is ready to go. The user tab is the most useful, since it allows you to view all of the previous tabs, plus your system information box in one spot. One tab represents the area around you, another represents the region, and yet another shows your team if you're teamed up, your guild if you're affiliated with one, and finally a user tab. One thing you'll notice specific to the GUI is that the chat box has several individual tabs. The GUI initially takes up a large chunk of your screen, so it's good to figure out which boxes you can get rid of, which you need to keep, and which ones you can resize to take up less of your screen. Any of the boxes can be removed, so if you find some are less useful under most circumstances, just get rid of them. Ryzom's GUI is completely configurable and you can save multiple desktop configurations.
